ASA Policies

Summer Lesson and studio policies

If you choose to discontinue lessons during the summer, you will still be responsible for your tuition for the remainder of the summer.

Lesson times will be assigned using your given preferences as well as the discretion of the teacher and the needs of the studio.

Summer tuition is due within 1 week of receiving your lesson schedule. Payments not received within the 1 week window may result in your lesson spot being forfeit.

Full Summer students are the only students offered a makeup lesson. The only makeup lessons for student absences will take place on their scheduled days at the end of the summer. If a faculty member must unexpectedly cancel a lesson, an additional makeup lesson will be offered or a refund for the lesson will be issued.

If the student is of elementary age or younger, the home teacher (participating parent) is expected to attend all lessons, group classes, and practice with their students daily at home. Parents (or adult who lives in the household and can practice with the student) must attend, participate, and take detailed notes in every lesson.

Siblings are welcome to listen to the lesson with a parent!  Please make sure to bring something quiet to do so the focus can be on the lesson.

If your child is currently studying with another Suzuki teacher, you must inform your teacher of your intention to take lessons with Arlington Suzuki Academy faculty. We will contact all current teachers once we have received confirmation that you have communicated with them about your intent to study with the Academy. In order to work together, we must have the consent of the current teacher as per the Suzuki code of ethics.

All new Suzuki families will begin with parent lessons rather than students lessons during their assigned lesson time. Students will begin participating in lessons with their parents once the parent lesson portion has been completed.

24-25 School Year Lesson and studio policies

By registering for lessons, you will be committing to lessons from August through May. If you choose to discontinue lessons during the school year, you will still be responsible for your tuition for the remainder of the school year.

Lesson times will be assigned using your given preferences as well as the discretion of the teacher and the needs of the studio.

Monthly tuition is due by the end of day on the 1st of each month. Any tuition received after the 1st will automatically accrue a $20 late fee per day until payment is received.

The only makeup lessons for student absences offered will take place on their scheduled days at the end of each semester. If a faculty member must unexpectedly cancel a lesson, an additional makeup lesson will be offered or a refund for the lesson will be issued.
